White Rabbit!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

And White Rabbit! (I win!)

For those of you [poor under-privledged] people who don’t know what “White rabbit” is, it’s kinda like “pinch punch first of the month”. It’s a game our family plays where you try to be the firt one to say, “WHITE RABBIT” on the first of the month. It started (or so I’m told) in England and was consittered good-luck for the first words of a new month to be, “White rabbit, white rabbit, white rabbit”.

We’re lazy, so we shortened it to once =)

At our house, you have to be the first to say it IN PERSON to everyone in the house to win.

I won this morning! While everyone else said, “3… 2… 1… HAPPY NEW YEAR!” I said, “3… 2… 1… WHITE RABBIT!

I win! =) mwhahaha!

Let it snow!

Gah! The two feet from last week’s Holiday Blizzard STILL packed into the streets and drifted up everywhere, and now it’s snowing… *again*. Yay =P They said to expect  several more inches.

But really; I DO like it =) I think it’s pretty and kinda cool that we’re having ‘gas shortages’ and stuff. This never happens in Aurora! Well… not like this. It’s cool! I’m planning on going sledding and building a snow castle (complete w/ towers, a dungeon, ice-cicle chandelier, and extravagant stiarcase… of course. LOL!).

I’ve already been to King Dupers once, to buy TOSTINOS pizza (we’re eating very healthy, yes?). Yummy! It was fun walking up there =) Minus trying to keep my forehead covered w/ my beanie and my neck covered w/ my scarf to cover up the SCABS from the CHICKEN POX.

Update on the Chicken Pox: They’re starting to heal up. I’m not contagious any more, but the scabs everywhere look icky. I’m praying they don’t SCAR!

 TTYL!

Boxing Day (whoops)

I have just been informed that Boxing Day has nothing to do with Boxing. Meh. So I looked up the REAL meaning.

 According to http://www.infoplease.com:

Despite its name, Boxing Day, which is celebrated on December 26 in Great Britain, has nothing to do with pugilistic competition. Nor is it a day for people to return unwanted Christmas presents. While the exact origins of the holiday are obscure, it is likely that Boxing Day began in England during the Middle Ages.

Some historians say the holiday developed because servants were required to work on Christmas Day, took the following day off. As servants prepared to leave to visit their families, their employers would present them with gift boxes.

Ok, gift BOXES. Boxing Day. LOL! Sue me =) Hee hee hee… oops.

Talk to you all later!

Happy Boxing Day…?

Boxing Day

is a holiday in many European and British Commonwealth countries (such as Canada and New Zealand) on the day after Christmas. It is also known as St. Stephen’s Day.

I don’t know what, but this holiday cracks me up. Dude, “Boxing Day”??? Boxing is a pretty cool sport, granted (not as cool as Tae Kwon Do, though) but do they really need a holiday for it?

I mean… I think that, uh, PUDDING is great. Or Jell-O. But do they have a Pudding Day? Noooooo. I think that’s racist! … or, something.

Oh well. It’s in Canada. I guess THAT explains a lot. Hee hee hee =) I love canadians. They’re great… as a side dish.

Whoops! Did I actually say that?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

=) Hey peeps! Merry Christmas… hope yours is great! I am currently at home, with the chicken pox (yay me!), and watching Dad, Rach, and Sumzie get ready to go to FAITHWALKERS. Summer’s going in my place. Pooh.

Oh well… I’ll just focus on getting better (and throwing myself an AWESOME pity party). LOL JK. Well… Kinda JK. Not really. Really. Seriously. I’m confused =P

C ya later!
